My Garden

Well I have never really had what I consider a real garden. For about 5 or 6 years I have used this Planter box Lincoln built for me. Its held up but its almost done living. Sadly its starting to fall apart. I did plant a garden this year. Two tomato plants one cherry and one big tomato's.
I also tried my luck with carrots and green beans but some of my carrots are not getting enough sun oh well it was worth a try and I still may get some yet.
I also bought a Strawberry plant. Its totally out grown its pot but someday I will transplant it and have a whole patch of yummy strawberries to eat!!

The kids and I decided to be adventurous and we went camping Thursday night!! IN OUR BACKYARD!! Hahahah! All I can say is it was fun Sam didn't last he prefers his own bed. Madee loved it and they both spent quite a bit of time just playing in the tent while it was set up. So if anyone wants to camp out in my backyard this summer we have room for three maybe four tents :)

My Birthday!

Well I had the greatest birthday weekend ever! Lincoln surprised me by having some of our family come out and visit without me knowing. We went to the famous Yakima Miners burger place for lunch saturday and madee jumped out of the car and said there is uncle Ben. I thought it was probably just someone who looked like him but no no it really was him. We were also surprised to see Stacey my cousin as well. Such a great surprise. Lincoln had taken the kids to the store a little earlier to get gifts and well I but you will be jealous of my gifts :)
Sam picked out the brightest orange finger nail polish ever. Its blinding orange but he loves orange and thought it would be the perfect gift.
He Also picked out the coolest card ever BATMAN!!
I did not make my Cake this year!! Yeah for not making your own birthday Cake!! Another awesome surprise.
This was Madee's choice of gifts. She almost got me a frog necklace. Some day I will miss getting cute gifts like this from my kids. (you know the ones they love a little more then I do)

Last Part of Portland Trip

We did a few other things on our trip like going to Seaside beach and visiting Lincoln's good Friends. We also had a chance to visit with Lincoln's folks but our visit with them wasn't long enough. We will have to see them again soon. We got a chance to see my cousin Stacey and enjoy a nice movie called Choc. As we ate Choc ice-cream and too much other choc. On our way out of town we stopped at Multnomah Falls.

Just so you know we never stop. We hiked with the kids up to the first bridge and took a couple pictures and headed back down.
Its such a pretty place! We had a wonderful trip! Thanks Mom and Dad for putting up with us for five days!

Portland Part 3

Well part three of our Trip to Portland was going to OMSI Oregon Museum of Science and Industry.
Again Uncle Ben and Mom Shared this adventure with us. Lincoln had an awesome Day of fishing so it was just us on this adventure.
Claire could be an Astronaut don't you think?

Row Boats and Sail boats were fun to use.
Trying to put the same weight on both sides of the scale.

So there was this whole kids section that we completely skipped by not realizing it. I was a little disappointed about that. Its been a long time since we have gone and didn't know where things were really. Oh well it was fun anyway.

Portland Part 2

Silver Creek Falls! Yup that was part two of our adventure. Its about an hour South and we went on a beautiful rainy Saturday. We had umbrella's!
It was beautiful and I love the trail that takes you right under the falls. We got plenty of spray from the falls. We went about a quarter of a mile that's all the kids could handle. I nice short little loop.

Uncle Ben and Mom came with us and helped carry kids at certain moments in time. I think you get twice the workout when your hiking with small children.

We finished our adventure off with a nice picnic lunch. So fun! Loved it..I remember hiking this as a kid with cousins and aunts and uncles. Glad I could share fun memories with my kids.

Our Trip to Portland

Part 1: The Portland Zoo
We took a trip to Portland Memorial weekend and did lots of fun things this is just part one of our adventures there. Sam just woke up from a nap in the car and was not the happiest boy when we first got to the zoo but he got better the longer we were there.

The Animal petting area is kind of fun.

Its been a long time since the kids have been to the zoo it was really fun. Thanks Mom and Dad for coming along on the adventures.
