Portland Part 2

Silver Creek Falls! Yup that was part two of our adventure. Its about an hour South and we went on a beautiful rainy Saturday. We had umbrella's!
It was beautiful and I love the trail that takes you right under the falls. We got plenty of spray from the falls. We went about a quarter of a mile that's all the kids could handle. I nice short little loop.

Uncle Ben and Mom came with us and helped carry kids at certain moments in time. I think you get twice the workout when your hiking with small children.

We finished our adventure off with a nice picnic lunch. So fun! Loved it..I remember hiking this as a kid with cousins and aunts and uncles. Glad I could share fun memories with my kids.

Our Trip to Portland

Part 1: The Portland Zoo
We took a trip to Portland Memorial weekend and did lots of fun things this is just part one of our adventures there. Sam just woke up from a nap in the car and was not the happiest boy when we first got to the zoo but he got better the longer we were there.


The Animal petting area is kind of fun.









Its been a long time since the kids have been to the zoo it was really fun. Thanks Mom and Dad for coming along on the adventures.

Claire's Birthday

Its hard to believe that Claire is a year old already. She walks like a pro and is saying words like mama and Dada and Go go dada!
She quite enjoyed stuffing her face with a cupcake this kid might have a sweet tooth!

We had one little birthday celebration on her actual birthday and then Grandma and Grandpa came and helped extend the party on into the weekend. We loved the cake Grandma helped make. We sang to her and she opened gifts please check out the videos if you like! There are kind of a lot and they might only be entertaining to us. She had a great birthday and we love our Claire Bear she makes us smile everyday!

Dance Recital

Our little Ballet Dancer!

Madee has been taking Ballet/Tap since October and she just had her very first Dance recital on Saturday. She was so excited to preform. She did a great job.
We do have a video but it was from kind of far away. So here are a few pictures. Madee's Grandma and Grandpa were able to come and watch her dance she loved that. (wish more of you could have made it)
Madee wanted to watch the bigger girls do their dances and really liked seeing her teacher in a couple numbers. It was a really fun recital. Girls as young as 3 and up preformed.

Thanks for Birthday gifts!!

Thanks Grandma and Grandpa! Sam got his birthday package and Loves it! They decided a picnic lunch in the back yard in the tent would be awesome!

Thanks so much Nana and Grandpa for the beautiful dress for Claire for her birthday. I love this dress. Also thank you for all the other wonderful gifts that you got both Sam and Claire they love them and they sure love you!
We love our Grandparents so much, you are all so thoughtful!

Sam's Big Day

Donuts for a birthday breakfast!
Sam helps decorate the house for our family party!
After a trip to the park and to burger king to play on the play set we waited for daddy to come home for the big party! Sam was so excited all day that it was his birthday.
He wanted a dragon birthday (interpretation..Dino birthday) So I did my best to make a Dino cake.
For the party we played pin the tail on the Dino and Madee was really helpful at coming up with games to play and spinning people around.

We played balance the ball on the spoon and race to the other side of the room.
Sam blew all his candles out one by one!
With a little peeking it was easy!
This is how Sam felt most of the day.

He got a motor cycle little toy and a buzz light year little toy too! Its the first birthday he has really felt excited about and realized all that was going on.
