Nov 2011

I got good at knitting dead fish hats. Sam is modeling his hat.
Here is Madee and Sam in both of their hats.
Claire is getting into trouble with a capital T.

This year for thanksgiving we decided to stay in Yakima and our little family had a feast. I brined our turkey and it was delicious. I could never eat it any other way.
My Aunt made this adorable hat and Claire's head was just a little too big for it. We shared it with her cousin. It was really a cute hat.

New Year's Eve at the ER!

I do have pictures and we almost have our fixed computer thanks so so much to Lincoln's Dad. I wanted to share the story of our new years eve. Lincoln and I were in Portland visiting my folks and they very generously watched my three children while I went and picked Lincoln up from Beaverton because he was fishing with a buddy. As the story goes Claire was running around Mom's house like a mad girl and ran into the living room maybe slipping maybe not and bumped her head on the stool of the rocking chair. Well it was a big enough cut to cause concern. Mom called me and told me what happened. We came home as quick as we could and tried to take Claire to an immidate care place but at 7pm they were close already so we decided to take Claire to the ER. It was a big enough cut that was still bleeding even after about the hour it took us to get back and run around. Took her in and they looked at her and she ended up having to get six stiches. Poor girl was tramatized by the whole thing. She has a nice looking sore on her face right by her eyebrow. Never planned on spending our new years eve that way.
