Off to the Races

Lincoln loves to fish. I really love this picture of him and I thought I would share it.

Another thing we did on Sam's birthday when we were sure he was not feeling sick anymore. We went to this little pond in town and rode our bikes on the trail that was right there. Lincoln was trying to catch some fish. Sam on his balance bike is getting faster and faster.
For Family Home Evening we went to the Meadow Brook Family Fun Center.
We wanted to take Sam here on his birthday but it didn't work out. The kids loved it.

They have race track, bumper boats, mini golf and the arcade. We did not do everything. We enjoyed the race track and the arcade. Madee said it was the best time ever. (she wants to return on her birthday)

Sam Turned 4 years old and it was a crazy start to his birthday. Sadly he woke up very early and was sick to his stomach. As a couple hours went by he began to feel much better but we were worried he was be totally sick all day.

As it so happens Sam got to go on his very own Zelda Adventure first he had to go through the red lasers with out letting them touch him. Then he had to smash the pots to uncover the hidden treasure. He has a bomb fight with flour and nylons (he totally beat Madee). He had to build a bridge and he had to try and pop a balloon that was around Madee's ankle before she popped his. For each task he completed he received a key that would open the door to his treasures (birthday presents). Sam loved this and it was totally worth doing.
Here is Sam with his new sword and shield.
Blowing out the cake
In case you can't tell Sword and a shield.

Farm Days

We found out the the highschool kids in Yakima and the fire department put on this free Farm Days. It was really neat. Madee her friend Lilly and Claire are playing in this mini hay maze.
There was lots of animals to pet and hold.
 Sam with the baby goat.
Sam doing his part to put out fires. There was flames everywhere :)
Madee also got to put the flames out in the burning house.
Madee is milking a cow here and really liked doing it.
 Sam roping a cow.
We got a picture with fire dog Sparky and even got to play in the fire truck for a min.
We ran into some friends. Here is Madee sitting by Gretchen (Ballet friends) on the tractor ride. We had a wonderful time and some great friends that we went with. I would definitely do this again.

Easter Egg Hunt

Our Church Primary did a very fair Easter Egg hunt this year. Each kid picks up twelve eggs and then sits down. What ever is left over they get to all try and grab at the end.
Claire is very clever. She found the egg hidden under the cone.

Egg Heads

Today we continued our egg dying tradition. Madee and Sam are getting big enough now that they can do almost everything themselves

We ended up with a fine bunch of egg heads.

This and That

I saw this idea on pinterest and thought I would try it on my fridge. Its not a pretty as I thought it would be. I don't know. It sure does free up some fridge magnets though.
Madee made a leprechaun trap for St Patrick's day and she told me there was little green foot prints like these all around the room when they came back to school on monday.
She told me that one kid caught a leprechaun because there was a pot of gold left behind but it got away :) it was cute to see her so excited to tell us about it.
My Sister Kaytie and I have been talking about organizing and I was trying to come up with a way to do so with the kids toys (Can you tell we have too many) So I used these laundry buckets I have been collecting after buy and using detergent. I have a bunch just sitting around so I put them to good use using what I have. I made little red covers and I think I might add labels as well. Its what I have been up too.
