Happy 5th Anniversary!

After 5 years I am proud to say we still like each other. Love you Lincoln. Maybe we will do something really fun on our 10th Anniversary! If we start planning now. 5 years has just gone by so fast. Its funny to look back too. We seem to reminisce about how we met and and got married and its fun to see how much we have changed. No matter how much we have changed I still love my smart, ridiculously good looking, chivalrous, funny hubby!! Happy 5th Anniversary!

TibbleFork Reservior

This Saturday the Denny's spent the day with the Packard's. My sisters family. All I can say is its a good thing we had a canopy. It was warm out. Here are the kids lounging in the shade.
We went on a little excursion to the other side of Tibble Fork Res. where the river runs into the res and played and threw rocks for a while. Ean is holding the perfect Rock. Kind of a cool picture. Don't let the beautiful water trick you...It was icy cold. No matter how long you stood there and let your body get used to it, It was still freezing.
Sam enjoyed the rocks and the mud and just had a wonderful time playing out in the sun.
Garhett threw the rocks but Sam ate them. Silly kids.
It was a pretty spot and about 10 degrees cooler then in the valley. Thanks Tricia and Aaron for hanging out and have such a fun day!

Bikes to the Park

Well after quite a few hours of being cooped up in the house we Madee, Sam and I decided to brave the hot dessert weather of utah..we are talking mid to high 90's. We got on our bikes and Madee is a real trooper biking at least 8 blocks and more to the park. We stopped at the river on the way and dipped our feet in the icy cold water. Sam and Madee found the best sticks and we began hitting the water with them. Sam loved this part of it and was making quite the splash. We learned that rivers are bigger then streams. Then we moved on to the park and it was so warm that we found one of the few shady spots and played some games there. First we tried to find four leaf clovers which Madee learned are luck..not the three leaf ones. The second game we played was duck duck goose. Sam was not very good at that one but enjoyed chasing Madee and I around. Hide and seek and burying our shoes in piles of grass were the other fun games. I love learning and exploring with my kids!!

Camping at Wasatch Mountain State Park

This weekend we enjoyed another great weekend of camping. We were trying to go the Jordanelle campgrounds but they were full and we thought we would not find a place but got the last campsite at Wasatch Mountain State Park. We went with are good friends the Glenn's. They have two kids close to our kids ages and they all ran around in the dirt and enjoyed the great outdoors. Delicious dutch oven dinner and dessert and kids that slept pretty good for camping. Please enjoy the pictures of your camping trip below.....

4th of July Celebrations

For the 4th of July we didn't do anything big. I was thinking going to a park and having a picnic but Lincoln had a better idea. We set our Canopy up in the backyard and had a barbecue in the comfort of our own home. It was a great idea. My younger sister Kaytie and her family came over.
She is doing Madee's hair in this picture. Madee always screams and runs away from me when ever I try to do her hair but she will let her Aunt do it.

We pulled out the swimming pool to cool our feet off and it was a perfect day. We went to the Pleasant Grove Fireworks too. Sam and Madee loved them.

Deperate to go camping!

You know your desperate to go camping when you leave your house and it is pouring down rain. Well its all part of the adventure right? We were lucky. We went to Rock Cliff camp ground at Jordanelle Res. It rained most of the way there but let up as we were walking in and finding a spot to camp.
Anyone who knows us knows we love to camp. We try to go with other people but this time it was just our little family. We camped in a beautiful area close enough to the river but not too close. (we have a one year old you know what I mean) We had the best time. We did have to walk a little ways to our campsite. You are not allowed to pull your car right up to the site. That was a workout.
Madee was busy watching DVD's and playing the DS well foil dinners cooked on the campfire. They were so yummy. Lincoln got some fishing in and the kids had fun running around.
One little story we were all snug in our tent and getting ready to get some shut eye when we heard some noises outside. My first thought BEARS!! Well we didn't want to really scare Madee or she would never go to sleep so Lincoln convinced us it was squirrels (dancing squirrels). Then we heard it again and well this time Lincoln unzipped the window in the tent and flashed the little flashlight out and it ended up being a racoon just looking for some dinner. Our experience in the wild. When you think about it a tent between you and the great outdoors is not that much. It will not deter me from camping again!!
