Maykids Reunion 2011

Every two years the May Family has a reunion where we all get together and party!! This year we went to Zarahemla Campground. It is a church campground about 45min from Yakima. We stayed in 4 cabins and had a wonderful time. The pictures are not in order so this is my younger sister Kaytie useing the canoes they had at the lake. We usually took about 2 kids out with two adults canoeing.

This is one of the cabins we were in for two nights. They were great and super fun for the kids.

This is the inside of one of the cabins. Two bunk beds. Bottom ones were queen mattresses. And a loft in this cabin.

Before we went to the campground we started our reunion off at Randell Park which was close to our house. We did a relay type race and potato sack race. Here are the kids trying to get hopping.

Swimming Lessons

Madee and Sam took Swimming lessons from the 5th of July until the 14th of July for two weeks. They learned how to blow bubbles and bob under the water, kick their legs and stroke their arms. They both loved going and being in the water they are way more confident now. I can tell.

The last class they got to do more fun things. Like riding on the boat and the floating pads.

We will probably do swimming lessons again. It was a lot of fun!

SandLake

Our good friend Colin and Jaycine invited us to go to sand lake with them. It is close to Tillimook Oregon and so we decide to go and join the fun. Madee and Sam both learn how to ride on a four wheeler that Lincoln and Colin used when they were about ten. This green little bike is still running good.
We camped on the sand and you had to ride just a little ways to get to the beach. It was super fun. We had a great time

We stopped in at the Tillimook cheese factory and got some ice-cream yummy.

Lincoln taught Sam and he just thought it was the coolest thing seeing all the motorcycles and four wheeler.

4th of July

For the 4th of July we went out to the Tri-cities to visit the Evan's Family (Lincoln's sister and her family.) The Evans family borrowed this awesome blow up water slide. Similar to a bouncing castle type thing. You just blow it up and hook up the hose and instant fun. Madee has some much fun on it but Sam took a little time to warm up to the idea. Sadly no picture of that.
Here is where we watched fireworks on the Columbia river. It was an pretty impressive show.
We had a great view they were right in front of us.

We stayed for fireworks. We went down to the river and sat on blankets. The kids loved running around with there cousin and waiting for the big show to start. They were given glow sticks and loved those when it got dark enough.

Half Marathon!!

My sister Tricia wanted to do the Sun river half Marathon this year because my Mom and Aunt had done it last year. Well We all hoped on board. So on the 25th of June we met in Sun River Oregon, Mom, Dad, Tricia (sister), Ben (brother) My mom's twin sister Aunt Kate and Our Cousin Debbie! We had such a great time the pictures above are of us all the day before the race!
